This was one of my Mama's main go to dishes when I was growin up. She made this all the time, an I loved helpin her make it cause I got ta squish around in the meat with my fingers.

I hope ya'll like it as much as I ever did. Enjoy!

Mama's Sweet n Spicy Meatballs:

This recipe is fer 2-3 people. If'n ya have ta cook fer more than that, jest double on up on everything, or make the dang freeloaders go home.

• 1lb of Lean Ground Beef (I use 97% Lean for less grease)

• 3 Jars of Heinz Chili Sauce

• 1/4 cup Italian Bread Crumbs

• 1/2 Tbsp Dried Oregano

• 1/2 Tbsp Dried Sweet Basil

• 1 Cup of Grape Jelly (Secret Ingredient) Don't tell yer friends!

To scale this recipe up or down: 1 jar of sauce, 1/3 cup of jelly, to each 1/3 pound of beef.

Directions: Heat oven to 375°F. Combine Ground Beef, bread crumbs, and spices in a mixing bowl and squish together with yer hands. Form out as many meatballs as you can eat in whatever size trips yer trigger. Then put in the hot oven and cook fer 25 mins or so. While that's cookin, Make up yer sauce. Over medium heat add in yer chili sauce, and grape jelly and stir. When the Jelly is dissolved and the sauce is boiling drop in yer meatballs an stir some more. Serve over rice, sprinkle with some mozzarella or provolone cheese and enjoy!
