1/2 pound bacon cook until crispy cumbled 1 large onion diced, cook in bacon fat until tender 1 pound ground Beef or Vinison cook and drained 3- 28oz cans Van de camps pork and beans 1/2 -1 cup ketchup ( approx to taste ) 1/2 -1 cup BBQ sauce Sweet Baby Rays (approx to taste) 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4- 1/2 cup maple syrup ( to taste) 1-3 teaspoons salt ( to taste ) 1-3 teaspoons pepper ( to taste ) Combine all in a 6 quart dutch oven add more of the items (to taste ) as required, simmer 1 hour until hot. stir slowly not to break down the beans.
